13 children + 13 bears = a really fun day

Today's science lesson was about how God made animals do amazing things to help them survive. Here we are all flying from the cold North end of our room to the warmer South end.
We were birds only briefly. Most of today was about bears. We got to practice following directions and ordinal numbers (first, second, third, fourth, fifth) to make these bear paw print snacks. The fifth step was the favorite: eat it!
After reading a non-fiction bear book we wrote about what we learned. These ones say "Bears hibernate", "I learned about hibernation" and "lady bears have two babies at a time".
During quiet reading the room was transformed. A big cave/den was built in the middle of the room. We crawled around eating food before we went in to hibernate. There are 26 bears in this cave.We played a game in which the bears had to wake up when they heard two rhyming words.
All the happy children and bears right before we went on our bear parade.
