Leaf Day

Here are a few pictures of leaf day. First we took some time to observe our leaves closely. We looked for the veins that we had read about earlier.

Of course this class of scientists recorded their observations.

We sang a song as someone climbed up the 'tree trunk' and let their leaves fall down.
It was hard to hit the target but a few children got all three to touch it!

After our leaf hunt we sorted and graphed.

Then we acted out a poem that involved throwing the leaves into the air so they could fall down.
